ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS

Starting Point: CAMBA Namakagon Town Hall Trailhead

N1 – 17 miles with 928 feet of climbing. Mostly gravel with short sections of quiet pavement. The gravel on this route is pretty smooth and has rolling terrain. The Clam Lake elk herd can often be seen on the eastern side of this loop, especially along Forest Road 204. There
are no services along this route.

N2 – 36 miles with 1,328 feet of climbing. Primarily smooth gravel with short sections of quiet pavement and some steep hills on Snake Trail Road. You will pass dozens of beautiful lakes on this ride and the access trail (no bikes) to the Swedish Settlement (a two-mile hike off the main road). Read about the history of this area at the trailhead, which intersects with Old Grade Road along the North Country Trail. There are no services along this route so be prepared.

Note: Portions of this route were damaged during heavy flooding several years ago and have not been repaired. Riders are advised to seek alternate roads around this area. Additionally, the map as posted online and on the Trail Treker app do not agree with the GPS tracks provided.

N3 – 5 mile linear route on high quality gravel road through elk country linking Namakagon Cluster gravel routes with Moose Lake Area routes.
