As spring approaches and bears awaken from their long hibernation, there’s no better way to usher in the season than with the annual Hungry Bear Gravel Challenge! Join us in the breathtaking Northwoods, where every rider can find their challenge. Choose to conquer the thrilling Hungry Bear 100, test your mettle in the Snacking Bear 60, or take your first steps with the Climbing Cub. Each route offers a unique taste of Northern Wisconsin’s stunning gravel trails, paired with the charm of our vibrant communities.

Every ticket sold will help us support the Hungry Bear and CAMBA, with an ambitious goal of raising $5,000 to expand our trails, enhance trailheads, and create detailed route maps. Ticket Sales:  To start, we will have 500 tickets for sale for $10 each. When you buy a ticket, you will receive a receipt and e-ticket for the raffle. If you do not see this in your email, please check your spam folder, as sometimes messages get misclassified in filters.

Online Sales: March 1, 2025, through noon on May 10, 2025:  Raffle tickets are available online.

2025 Hungry Bear Gravel Raffle Official Rules:

  1. General. By participating in the 2025 Hungry Bear Gravel Raffle (“Raffle”), entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association (“CAMBA”), which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the Raffle.  The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and is void where prohibited.
  2. Net Proceeds.  All net proceeds of the Raffle will benefit CAMBA , a 501(c)(3) organization.  Our mission is to be stewards of the CAMBA trails and to build community and drive economic opportunity through the trails.  Our vision is to be the premier midwest gravel and MTB riding destination.
  3. Eligibility. The Raffle is open to all persons subject to these Official Rules. The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. 
  4. Purchasing Raffle tickets.  Raffle tickets will sell for $10 per ticket.  Raffle tickets will be sold from March 1 to noon on May 10, 2025, or until 500 tickets are sold. Tickets can be purchased online or at the CAMBA table on the day of the event or until they are gone.
  5. An individual may purchase a maximum of ten raffle tickets. All Raffle ticket sales are final, and CAMBA will not issue refunds or replacements.  
  6. Raffle tickets are not tax deductible.  The purchase price of a Raffle ticket is not a donation.
  7. Prizes
    • The NV 2.0 2-bike hitch rack ($898 value)
  8. Taxes and prize-related expenses.  Winners shall be responsible for any and all travel costs, federal, state and local income or excise taxes, and like charges.  Federal law requires that tax withholding on certain prizes must be collected from the winner upon award and distribution.
  9. Selection of winners.  Drawing Will Be 5/10/2025, 6PM CST At The Portage, Rivers Eatery and Tilly’s Pie, Cable, WI 54821. Winner need not be present to win.
  10. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or email.  There will be only one winner per prize, and raffle participants will only be allowed to win one prize per individual.
  11. Prize Claim.  Within 30 days of the drawing, the winners must notify CAMBA and present the winning Raffle ticket or proof of such to claim a prize. Winners must provide CAMBA all information required to claim their prize, including tax identification information. A representative of CAMBA will assist in coordinating all the details with the winners regarding the transfer of the prizes.  
  12. Miscellaneous.  CAMBA has the right, at its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Raffle, to void entries for any reason.  The odds of winning the Raffle depend on the number of Raffle tickets purchased for the drawing.  The maximum number of tickets to be sold will be 500.  The odds of winning are less than 1%.  By entering the Raffle, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, and to release CAMBA, its affiliates, partners, employees, directors, officers, sponsors, and agents from any and all liability with respect to any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Raffle, or from any travel or activity directly related to the receipt or use of any prize.
  13. Publicity Release.  The winners, by accepting the prizes, grant CAMBA and its designees and affiliates, full permission to use such winner’s name, city/state, photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation and without notice, review, or approval, in all media.  
  14. Governing Law.  The Raffle and these Official Rules shall be subject to, and governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
