Meet Our Coaches
Brian Matter
Brian Matter has been a professional Mountain Bike and Cyclocross racer for the past 25 years. He grew up racing in Michigan before moving to Arizona to pursue his dreams on the bike. In 2004 he moved back to the Midwest and settled in Wisconsin. He started coaching the UW – Sheboygan Cycling team and discovered he loves sharing his passion for the sport with others. As a coach with Momentum Endurance he has spent the last 15 years helping others reach their cycling goals as well as coaching multiple skills clinics and week-long MTB camps throughout the country.
Casey Krueger
Casey Krueger grew up mountain biking at his family cabin in the Cable, WI area. Like most others in the early days of the sport, he learned how to handle a bike over time through trial and error. It wasn’t until his wife, Ronnie, started doing the Copper Harbor Women’s Weekend that he found out there is actually a lot of technique involved and that by working on that technique, the sport can become much more enjoyable (and faster!). He started helping out at the Copper Harbor Big Boy Clinics. Then, in 2019, Casey received his PMBIA Certification. “I am a firm believer that every rider out there, from the weekend warrior, to the World Cup Pro can benefit immensely from taking a big step back and focusing on the fundamentals of the Sport.”
Lianna Miller
Lianna Miller loves helping people up their riding level. She specializes in the mental side of biking, especially helping riders come back after a fall. Coach Lianna is one of the founders of the Copper Harbor Big Boy Clinic and the Women’s Weekend, holds her PMBIA level 1 cert, and a couple of very old national champion jerseys. In her regular life she is an engineer, and in the off-season, you can find her volunteering on the Ski Patrol or attempting to nordic ski.
