A red pine thinning/harvest is underway on Makwa just north of Gravel Pit Road. The trail is closed from the access point on Gravel Pit Road to the north to the Birkie Trail. Use the Birkie Trail to avoid the active logging area. Be aware of equipment and harvesting activity when in the area.
